Getting An Education


The word education means the knowledge and development resulting from an educational process. It is to be my understanding that every person of every nationality deserves the right to be given the chance to earn an education. Having an education is the key to surviving in this world we live in." Survival of the Fittest"

In the United States it is a requirement for children under the age of 18 to attend school. Schooling begins at a the very young age of five years old, which puts the child in kindergarten. I can remember clear as day attending kindergarten at Ohlone Elementary School, located in Hercules, California. Going to school now a days is taken lightly by some individuals who don't find an education a priority. Some tend to forget that for some nationalities or races such African Americans were not allowed to attend excellent schools that were only suited for whites to attend. This type of segregated schooling seized in 1954 by the supreme court in Brown vs. The Board of Education.


On the other hand getting a good or excellent education is a major priority for most people, including myself. I learned over the course of time you need to acquire a good paying job, so you are able to provide a roof over yours and possibly if you have a family's head. You will also need to provide food to eat and liquids to drink. There are utility bills that need to be paid for. Clothes to be purchased along with shoes and other odds and ends that we as people like to acquire.

In conclusion you should agree that getting an education is the necessary key to being able to get a good or descent paying job, so that you may be able to keep on living.
